RG Tremolo Electric Guitars by Ibanez
RG550XH is one of the most popular RG models in recent years and it`s being updated for the 2014. Introduction of the 30-fret concept featured on this model has proven to be an excellent move by Ibanez, as the players are given a whole new world of possibilities, especially for players who would like to play a six-stringer in low tuning, but want the high notes of the standard tuning, as well. Body of this extraordinary double-cut is made of basswood in it`s entirety and it sports an unusually deep cutaway (it reveals almost all 30 frets). Standard flat-top design of the RG series is featured on this model, as well. On the top, there is a double-locking Edge tremolo bridge, along with Ibanez pickups. Passive Infinity humbucker in the bridge and Infinity single coil pickup comprise the pickups combo (neck humbucker has been discarded in favor of the extra frets). Standard set of controls is installed along with these pickups. Maple neck is a standard three-piece with Wizard contour in the back.
