Ibanez RG series is one of the most famous and most respected lines of metal guitars on the market. It boasts an incredible roster, made up of countless six, seven and eight-string models. Lately, nine-stringers have started appearing as regular models, too. For 2016, RG lines are being reinforced with a quintet of new models, two of them with seven strings. RG7420PB (PB stands for the poplar burl top) is one of two extended range models. It rocks the standard bolt-on construction, passive electronics, super-fast neck and regular 25-1/2" scale. Sapphire Blue Flat is the only available color option. RG7420PB comes with a solid and double-cut mahogany body with a poplar burl top and deep cutaways. Together with the Wizard II-7 contour of the maple neck, generous cutaway gives players an easy access to the 24th fret. Dot inlays, 1.89" locking nut and 15.75" radius complete the ultra-modern fingerboard. Ibanez Quantum humbuckers feature a tight low end, well-rounded mids and moderately prominent highs. Master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch make sure a huge variety of tones and styles is at player`s disposal. Die-cast tuners and Standard Edge Tremolo system keep this affordable seven-stringer`s tuning and intonation in perfect check.
