S7421 is one of the S series novelties introduced for 2013. It is a four-digit seven-stringer placed within the basic S series. Number 7 in it`s name indicates seven-string construction, number 1 at the end of it`s name is there for the fixed bridge on top of the body and numbers 4 and 2 say it is a model derived from the standard S420. It`s name pretty much tells what to expect and where the limitations are. Body of this model is solid, double-cut and made of mahogany in it`s entirety. Top is carved with standard S series contour and has no special decorations. On the opposite side, the back is contoured for improved comfort, again no special decorations. Gibraltar bridge on top of the body sports string-through construction. AH-7 humbuckers are featured in the front and they offer Ibanez signature versatility and supreme clarity, even in the low end. Neck is made of three pieces of maple and it features Wizard contour in the back. On it`s top Ibanez installs a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
