RGD series is made for players who play a bit lower than the standard tuning and want an RG guitar. Standard six-stringers from the RGD series come with standard D tuning. Seven-strings have standard A tuning. This time around Ibanez updates this series with only one model, a seven-stringer named RGD2127FX. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of basswood. Top side has beveled edges and back is contoured for improved comfort. There`s no binding, no top wood cover and no pickguard on this one. Invisible Shadow is the name of RG2127FX`s only color scheme. It is finished in gloss. Bridge section features a seven-saddled tight-end bridge with string-through construction. In it`s front Ibanez installs a set of passive humbuckers. V87 is in the bridge and V77 in the neck. Master volume and a three-way toggle pickup switch keep it simple and dead on precise. Neck is made of five pieces of maple and wenge and it`s equipped with Wizard 7 contour in the back. This bolted neck is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
