Ibanez is one of the premier guitar and bass brands from Japan and their popularity around the world is now on the same level as major US brands. Their S range is in the game for over 25 years now, and it`s the constant effort towards perfecting the shape, tone and playability that`s kept the S series on the top for so long. Standard S series is being overhauled for 2014, as Ibanez has introduced a multitude of new models into the S series lineup. One of the novelties is the S520 model. A simple and versatile six-stringer with passive electronics, double-locking bridge and 24-fret fingerboard. Entire body of this model is made of mahogany, while the neck is made of three pieces of maple. On the top, there`s the series standard Edge locking tremolo bridge and a pair of Infinity series humbuckers. Master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch comprise the controls. Maple neck is fit with a Wizard contour in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.
