S521 model is a fixed bridge variant of the S520 model, which has also been introduced at this year`s NAMM show. Apart from the bridge section, these two intermediate six-stringers feature identical specs lists. Body of the S521 is solid, double-cut and carved on top, despite lacking the top wood cover. It is paired with the standard Wizard neck made of three pieces of maple. Neck is bolted to the body and, as the body, finished in thin coat of satin lacquer to improve the speed and playability. Ibanez offers this gorgeous intermediate six-stringer in two color options: Light Violin Sunburst and Blackberry Sunburst. Both are finished in satin and fit with black hardware. Bridge section on the top is equipped with a classic hardtail bridge, instead of the S series standard Edge locking tremolo bridge. Pickups in the front are Ibanez Infinity series humbuckers. These are very versatile and can successfully be used for a wide range of styles and genres of music. In combination with mahogany body, Infinity humbuckers installed on this model are perfect for hard rock and classic metal. Master volume, master tone and five-position blade switch comprise the controls unit. Maple neck is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with a 1.69" wide string nut, offset dot inlays and 15.75" wide radius.
