SIX28FDBG model is one of two eight stringers Ibanez introduces into the Iron Label series for the autumn 2013. All six models come from the classic S series and are infused with Iron Label`s no compromise attitude and tone. SIX28FDBG comes with a solid and double-cut body made of mahogany back with bubinga top. This combo is also found on SIX70FDBG (six-string model) and SIX27FDBG (seven-string model). Ibanez makes this one in Natural color scheme with gloss finish and gold-plated hardware. Carved top of this model is equipped with an eight-saddle version of the Gibraltar Standard bridge. It`s plated in gold and fronted with a pair of DiMarzio pickups. This time, it`s D Activator 8 humbuckers are installed (seven string version features DiMarzio PAF seven-string pickups). Standard controls unit includes master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch. Neck on this model is made of three pieces of maple and bubinga, it`s bolted to the body and fit with a Wizard contour in the back. On the top of the neck, Ibanez installs the series standard 24-fret fingerboard made of ebony. It has jumbo-sized frets, side dot inlays, 2.16" nut width and 15.75" radius.
