Steve Vai JEM Electric Guitars by Ibanez
UV70P is a black clad shredding beast made by Ibanez. It was introduced at the NAMM show in January this year as one of two updates in Steve Vai signature series. It comes with a classic RG-styled body with double cutaway and flat top. It is made of American basswood of the highest quality. JEM models do not have top wood covers, nor they feature bindings. UV70P, however, does oppose the JEM styling, as it is completely black, with black and green hardware. Black paint on the body and the headstock is finished and sealed in gloss lacquer. Bridge is a cosmo black Edge locking trem. It features standard Ibanez construction and it`s matched with a locking string nut. Pickups are DiMarzio Blaze humbuckers in bridge and neck and single coil in the middle. Master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch comprise the controls unit. Neck is made of five laminates of maple and walnut. JEM contour in the back and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top complete the neck of this exceptional seven-stringer.
