JCS Special Edition Soloist SL2Q Trans Red is one of six Soloist models in the current Special Editions series lineup and one of three SL2 models (there are also three SL1 models). It is a solid and double-cut guitar with a flat-top body with 1980s-styled double cutaway and contoured back. It is made of an alder base and quilted maple top (it is a twin model to the JCS Special Edition Soloist SL2Q Transparent Black). There is only one color option available for this model, the Transparent Red with glossy finish and black-plated hardware. Bridge section on the top is fit with a Floyd Rose bridge with six saddles and locking nut (locking nut is placed on the opposite side of the 25-1/2" scale). Seymour Duncan`s HB TB4 and SH1 are installed in the bridge and neck positions, respectively. They are controlled through a simple and effective unit made up of master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch.Maple-made neck is super fast and feels supremely fast under the fingers. It is topped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of ebony. Gotoh tuning machines on the headstock complete the major specs list.
