Scott Ian, the legend of Anthrax and thrash metal is back again with another signature model. This time around, it is not a high-end instrument made for semi-professional musicians already on their way to success. No, this time, it is for the young metalheads, the ones with the attitude and the vision. Thus, it was introduced as part of the X series lineup at this year`s NAMM. It comes with a standard set of X series Soloist features, plus the majestic Anarchy graphic designed by Scott Ian. Solid and double-cut body of this terrific axe is made of basswood on the sides and maple in the middle. That maple is, actually, the extension of the neck which runs through the body. Bridge section on the top is a dead simple one, it features a lone tune-o-matic bridge with strings being anchored at the back of the body. One Duncan Designed HB-102 humbucker sits in the bridge. It is a proper metal pickup made for the affordable guitars, it`s got the power, it`s got the punch and it`s got monster sustain. Maple neck is fast, slim and has a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood on the top. Jackson tuners on the classic pointy headstock, 25-1/2" scale and the special lightning bolt inlays wrap it up for this affordable rebel.
