MS503 is advertised by Maton Guitars as the most versatile of all MS Mastersound models. It comes with a standard double cut body made of silver silkwood. There are no top wood covers and the top is flat. Binding is also omitted, but the pickguard is there. It is black and has the characteristic Maton MS500 shape. Bridge section on this model includes two components. tune-o-matic bridge in the front and stoptail bar in the back. For the pickups department Maton opted with MVB0 hum in the bridge and MHN0 hum in the neck. Bridge pickup can be split and pickup selector is a three-position rotary switch, a rare feature on modern guitars. Neck is set and made of Queensland maple. It is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Tuners are made by Grover.
