John Petrucci JPXI-7 is the seven-string variant of the JPXI-6 model. They both come from the John Petrucci signature series. This one features the bolt-on neck construction, beveled top edges and flat top. JPXI 7 has a pair of passive DiMarzio humbuckers installed on the body. LiquiFire is in the neck position, while the Crunch Lab is in the bridge position. These two are accompanied by a piezo pickup installed beneath the bridge. Bridge is a non-locking tremolo, featuring black chrome plating and seven steel saddles. Body of this model is made of alder back and maple top. Mahogany is used for the center block of the body. Neck on this seven-stringer is bolted to the body and made of mahogany. 24-fret fingerboard is made of ebony.
