Limited Edition Reclaimed models are among the most interesting guitars in PRS`s history. All of them (though they exist in very small quantities) are made of reclaimed wood imported from Brazil. Peroba rosa (top wood) and brauna preto (fingerboard) come from Brazil`s south-eastern Atlantic forests. Reclaimed Limited: S2 Vela Semi-Hollow starts off with a semi-acoustic body, glued-in neck with 25" scale and typical Vela electronics layout. Core construction features include a mahogany base, peroba rosa top (beveled, one "f" hole, black pickguard), mahogany neck (Pattern Regular contour, glued-in joint) and brauna preto fingerboard (22 frets, "old school" Bird inlays, 25" scale). Natural is the only available color option. Major hardware and electronics options include a PRS plate-style bridge, low mass locking tuners and Vela pickups combo (Starla humbucker/Type-D single-coil).
