S2 tier was named after Paul Reed Smith`s and PRS`s hometown - Stevensville, MD. The number 2 stands for the second generation of the series. Custom and Standard tiers are currently active, with Custom being the more expensive and Standard more affordable.. S2 Mira Semi-Hollow, like all of the Mira Starla and Vela models, does not have an official Custom/Standard designation, though its specs list and stripped styling indicate a Standard tier model.
