Paul Reed Smith S2 Singlecut
S2 Electric Guitars by Paul Reed Smith
S2 Electric Guitars by Paul Reed Smith
Singlecut is probably the most controversial PRS model ever built. It was introduced back in 2001, only to be withdrawn from the production in 2004 due to the lawsuit by Gibson Guitar Corporation. It was reintroduced in 2005 after the case was dismissed by the US Supreme Court.
The S2 Singlecut is an affordable six-string axe with a solid mahogany body with a flamed maple top. It is paired with a set in mahogany neck with a standard Pattern profile in the back. Top of the neck is covered with a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
Series` standard S2 #7 Treble and Bass pickups are installed in front of a single-piece wrap around bridge and come with a classic LP-styled controls unit. PRS S2 tuners make sure this beauty stays in tune even after long hours in studio or on stage.
