Blackjack is a sibling series to the world-wide famous Hellraiser range. Their concepts are largely similar, featuring similar range of guitars with different pickups options. Hellraisers are fit with EMG pickups, while the Blackjacks traditionally feature passive and active Seymour Duncan pickups. Even the new models introduced for 2014 (including this one) are fit with Seymour Duncans. Another major difference is the styling of these two series. While the Hellraisers are more elegantly decorated and feature abalone binding and inlays, Blackjacks have more subtle styling. Blackjack A-7 is the basic seven-stringed Avenger introduced into the 2014 lineup of the Blackjack series. It comes with the standard solid and double-cut Avenger body made of mahogany. It is available only in black color with black/red binding, gloss finish and black hardware. On the top, there`s the standard seven-saddled hardtail bridge with string-through-body construction. Seymour Duncan`s Nazgul and Sentient pickups are installed in the front. These two give an amazing range of tones and can get along with pretty much anything from hard rock to extreme metal. Push/pull switch mounted on the tone knob allows the player to split them into single coils, thus offering even more versatility. Mahogany neck is a three-piece with bolt-on joint and contour in the back. On the top, there`s a 24-fret ebony fingerboard.
