California Vintage are models based on the legendary Stratocaster model by Fender. In Schecter`s catalog, they have a role of vintage rockers with full, strong tone and familiar looks. Body of the VS-1, the first of two models in this series, is solid, double-cut and made of alder. There is no top wood cover, nor Schecter installs binding on this model. The only decoration is the vintage-styled plastic pickguard, which at the same time serves as the electronics compartment shield. 3-Tone Sunburst, Gloss Black, Hot Rod Red and White color schemes comprise VS-1`s palette. Classic tremolo bridge with string-through construction is fronted by a set of three single-coil pickups. Bridge pickup is traditionally slanted. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it is topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
