California Vintage series pays homage to the legendary Stratocaster guitar, the double-cut of all double-cuts. Schecter`s take on this age-old story is quite impressive, as California duo sports some serious build and tone qualities. Body of the VS-2 is solid, double-cut and made of alder, which is a world-wide standard fro Strat-like guitars. Traditionally, there is no decorative top wood cover and also there`s no binding around the top. Only the plastic pickguard is there, serving both as a pickguard and electronics compartment shield. One of the series standard features is the installation of chrome-plated hardware. Standard non-locking trem bridge is plated in chrome and fronted with a set of three single-coil pickups. Bolt-on neck is made of maple and it features the standard contour in the back. 22-fret fingerboard on it`s top is made of rosewood.
