Fender`s Affinity series is one of the most important lines in company`s catalog. It is an upper intermediate series with a wide selection of models, both guitars and basses. The primary goal of this series, as well as the entire Squier brand is to offer quality options for players who are not able to buy a high-end Fender instrument. Despite being the sub brand of Fender, Squier offers great quality of both build and tone. One of five models introduced into the Affinity line for 2013 is Affinity Stratocaster HSS. It comes with series standard alder body with double-cut design and flat top. Classic Strat design includes the white plastic pickguard, which also serves as the electronics compartment cover. Vintage-styled two-point synchronized trem bridge is featured on the top. In it`s front, three pickups are installed in H/S/S pattern. Standard Stratocaster controls unit comes with them. Bolt-on maple neck is made of three pieces of wood and is equipped with C contour in the back. To of the neck is reserved for the standard 21-fret rosewood fingerboard. It features 9.50" radius, 1.60" wide synthetic bone nut, dot inlays and medium jumbo-sized frets. Chrome hardware 25-1/2" scale and over-sized headstock complete the specs list.
