Some years ago, Hello Kitty and Fender have teamed up to create a line of instruments which would encourage more girls to pick up a guitar. The series was extremely successful, and the Stratocaster model was its most popular member. Based upon the already tested and proven Affinity series Strat, the Hello Kitty Strat featured an agathis body and a bolt-on maple neck. The body was available in two color options - Black and Pink. Both featured a customized pickguard in shape of the iconic Hello Kitty logo. Six-saddled hardtail bridge with string-through construction and a passive humbucker were featured on the top. Maple neck featured the standard C profile in the back, and a 21-fret fingerboard made of rosewood on the top. Set of six die-cast tuners wrapped the specs list.
