Vintage modified Series from Fender and Squier is inspired by thousands of adventurous players from the past who modded and customized their Fenders in every way possible. They installed new pickups, changed pickguards, made custom wiring, paired different bodies with different necks, painted their guitars in custom colors, and many many more things, which are almost unimaginable today. Squier`s Vintage Modified Series, as all Squier badge equipped series serves as an introductory line to the Fender`s line. However, this Vintage Modified `70s Stratocaster comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of basswood. Color options available for this Strat are vintage white and black. Both of them come with maple and rosewood fingerboard options. The bridge is vintage styled two-point synchronized tremolo with chrome plating and string-through-body construction. Pickup combo is laid out in standard Strat pattern, three single coils in bridge, middle and neck positions. They are controlled through master volume, two tones and a five-position blade switch. The neck is a standard Fender/Squier feature, it is made of maple with C shape and bolt-on joint. Fingerboard can be either maple or rosewood. Both of them sport 21 frets and dot inlays. The MSRP for Vintage Modified `70s Stratocaster is set at 399.99.
