Three new models, one electric signature and two regular acoustic-electrics, star at Schecter Guitar Research booth at this year`s summer NAMM.
Summer NAMM, held in Nashville, TX is much smaller in size than its Anaheim-based counterpart. Somewhere around ¼ of winter edition`s size and scope. But that hasn`t stopped Schecter Guitar Research from displaying the newest and latest guns. Two acoustic-electric models and one electric signature make up the novelties roster. Both acoustics belong to the newly formed Orleans series, their names are Studio and Stage, respectively. They`re intermediate/upper intermediate class steel-stringers, made for practice, composing and recording (Studio) and performing (Stage). The third model is Jeff Loomis Cygnus JLX-7 FR which expands the recently established Cygnus line in Jeff`s signature series. It is a true monster, worthy of the name of a metal royalty.
Schecter Orleans Studio is a single-cut acoustic-electric guitar, made with a smart combination of modern and traditional steel-string features. Fishman electronics, Grover hardware, carefully selected tonewoods and Schecter`s renowned build quality make for an exceptional instrument. Natural Satin color, with abalone decorations and black chrome hardware, is the only available color option. Schecter Orleans Stage is performance-oriented sibling of the previously introduced Studio model. Visually, these two are pretty different, as Stage model features a Florentine cutaway (Studio comes with a standard Venetian cut) and splendid Vampyre Red Burst Satin color scheme (Studio is available in Natural Satin). Body and neck materials also differ, as they`re made for different purposes. Electronics and hardware are, however the same for both. Schecter Jeff Loomis Cygnus JLX-7 FR is a mighty seven-stringed metal warrior. It aims at metal players who want a bold, loud guitar, equipped with premium features and big attitude. Some of the top class features include 1500 series Floyd Rose bridge, Jeff`s own Seymour Duncan signature pickups (active) and neck-through-body construction.
