Yairi models have a special place within the Alvarez catalog, as they are the most luxurious models in the catalog. They are all made by Kazuo Yairi in his custom shop in Japan. CY116 is a model from Classical Yairi series and it comes with a standard classical shaped body with non-cutaway design. Back and sides on this model are made of mahogany and the top is made of cedar. This model is available only in natural color with glossy finish and bound in multi-ply binding. Classically shaped bridge on this fully acoustic nylon-stringer is made of rosewood. Mahogany is the wood of choice for CY116`s neck, and it comes covered with an ebony fingerboard. The fingerboard is equipped with 19 frets and 2" wide string nut.

I have this guitar and write my music with it and rehearse a band with it. I play over bass and drums without any amplification for two-three hours. This guitar kicks Butt!
