Alvarez Masterworks series is along with the Yairi Masterworks the most luxurious series in Alvarez catalog. This American manufacturer is mostly dedicated to the affordable acoustics and acoustic-electrics, though the Masterworks lines jump out of this niche and reach towards the high class. MD660 is a dreadnought-shaped guitar with single cutaway body construction. Back and sides on this model are made of mahogany, while the top is made of cedar. The top is finished in thin coat of satin finish and bound in maple. Single circle rosette is featured around the sound hole. Standard-shaped bridge is made of rosewood and it features a slanted saddle. Alvarez installs no electronics onto this guitar. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it features 20 frets with a 12th fret custom inlay.
