Alvarez is, though it has a Spanish name, actually US brand of acoustic and classical guitars. Even more exotic feel is evoked when one finds out that Yairi series of guitars is made by Kazuo Yairi in Gifu Prefecture in Japan. In essence, Alvarez is a brand of affordable to upper mid-range guitars with Masterworks series, which ranks slightly above the rest of the range. Masterworks is populous and very versatile series and MD660C is one of it`s models. It comes with a single cut dreadnought body made of mahogany back and sides with cedar sound board on top. White binding and single circle rosette decorate the top. Alvarez standard bridge is made of rosewood. Natural with satin finish is the only color option. maple neck is topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Tuners are plated in chrome.
