MD710-12 is one of the best twelve-stringers made by Alvarez. It is situated within the Alvarez Masterworks series, which is, besides the Yairi Masterworks, the most luxurious series in the catalog. This fully acoustic dreadnought features non-cutaway design with dovetail neck joint construction. Back and sides on MD710-12 are made of mahogany, while the top is made of spruce. Mahogany and spruce are among the most popular body wood combos for steel-stringed guitars. This spruce top is bound in maple and finished in gloss. Double circle rosette decorates the sound hole and the pickguard is left out of the specs list. Standard shaped bridge is made of rosewood. Fingerboard on MD710-12 is made of rosewood and it features 20 frets with a custom 12th fret inlay.
