Yairi Standard Steelstrings Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Alvarez
Alvarez-Yairi range is the exclusive section of Alvarez`s catalog, made in Kani City, Japan (in late master luthier Kazuo Yairi`s own shop in Gifu Prefecture). Currently, it is made up of three series - Standard, Stage, and Masterworks. All three series follow the tier structure of the standard Alvarez range (for example, Alvarez-Yairi 70 models sport rosewood/spruce bodies). PY70 belongs to the tier 70 of the Alvarez-Yairi Standard series. It offers a non-cutaway parlor body (solid rosewood back/sides, solid AA-grade Sitka spruce top, black pickguard, abalone rosette), a one-piece neck (mahogany construction, semi-gloss finish, 12th fret dovetail joint), a rosewood fingerboard (20 frets, 12th fret inlay, 24" scale), two-piece rosewood bridge (Alvarez contour, ebony string pins), FST2M bracing, and gold-plated Gotoh tuners.
