YB70 is the only baritone model featured in the Alvarez-Yairi range. It belongs to the Standard section of the range and its tier 70. Being a Yairi model, this mighty baritone is equipped with an all-solid body, one-piece neck, and modern bracing. Tone-wise, YB70 is a half-way between a bass and a regular six-string guitar, featuring a strong, superbly rounded low end and a potent, mighty tone. There are no electronics installed on this model, nor does Alvarez offer any optional upgrades. Main construction and design features include a jumbo-shaped body (solid rosewood back/sides, AA-grade Sitka spruce top), a one-piece mahogany neck (semi gloss finish, soft V profile), 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, and rosewood bridge. The MSRP is set at $1,999.
