Alvarez`s Regent series is oriented towards beginners, inexperienced players, and musicians seeking an affordable backup instrument. The core of the series` lineup is made up of dreadnought, folk, and classical models. There are fully acoustic, amplified, as well as left-handed models, offered in two tiers - 26 (mahogany/spruce construction) and 27 (rosewood/spruce construction). RD26L belongs to the 26 side of the family, has a non-cutaway dreadnought body, and is made for left-handed players. Alvarez offers no standard or optional electronics for this neat lefty. The MSRP is set at $329 and the color palette has only one option - Natural. Key construction features include mahogany back & sides, spruce top (black pickguard, white binding), mahogany neck (14th fret joint), 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
