RD27 is a fully acoustic dreadnought guitar which belongs to the Alvarez Regent series. Like the rest of the Regent models, it is a budget-friendly instrument, made primarily for beginners and inexperienced players. It offers a full-sized, non-cutaway body made of rosewood back and sides and a spruce top. White binding, black pickguard, and double rosette grace the top. The neck is made of mahogany, it sports the series standard profile and is connected to the body at the 14th fret. The rosewood fingerboard is another standard Regent feature; it has 20 frets, 1-11/16" wide PPS (synthetic bone) nut, small dot inlays. Other notable features include the standard scalloped X bracing, a bi-level Alvarez bridge made of rosewood, and die-cast tuning machines. The MSRP is set at $359.
