AN13-4 is on of two nylon-stringed Applause models. Both are placed within a specialized series named AN. This particular model is a down-scaled nylon-stringer with 3/4 scale and smaller back bowl. Bowl is still made of composite materials and it`s covered with spruce sound board. Top panel is equipped with white binding and a standard rosette. According to Ovation tradition, pickguard is not featured on the top of this model. Another tradition, the nylon-stringed guitar tradition also excludes pickguards. Top is available only in natural color with high gloss finish. Bridge section sports a classically-shaped bridge made of rosewood. Neck is made of maple and it is attached to the body with a set-in joint at the 12th fret. Rosewood fingerboard has 18 frets and 2" wide string nut.
