Masterbilt Century De Luxe belongs to the Masterbilt Century Collection of acoustic-electric archtop guitars. All of the models, including De Luxe, come in with a host of classic archtop features crossed with modern build quality, discrete electronics and top-shelf hardware. De Luxe is one of five models and is most closely linked to De Luxe Classic, from which it differs only in minute details. Following the series standards, De Luxe is offered in two variants - Vintage Natural and Vintage Sunburst. Both options feature aged gloss finish, aged nickel hardware and big pickguard. De Luxe`s price tag`s been set at $899. De Luxe kicks off with a non-cutaway archtop body (Epiphone`s historic Archtop contour), made of laminated flame maple (back & sides) and solid spruce (top). Longitudinal bracing, aged binding and discrete rosette complete the body. The neck is made of five pieces of hard maple and mahogany; it features rounded C profile and a 20-fret ebony fingerboard (bone saddle, medium frets, notched diamond inlays). Shadow NanoFlex pickup and soundhole-mounted eSonic HD preamp form the electronics unit. Floating bridge with trapezoid tailpiece, dual action truss rod and historic Epiphone tuners complete the specs list.
