Hot Rod Design Acoustic series is receiving one new model for 2015 - an out-of-this-world Vince Ray Outter Space Bucket. It is a full-sized dreadnought guitar with single-cut design, classic Fender construction and the `50s horror comics-inspired paint job created by the legendary Vince Ray. On the top of the body, the "Guitar Monsters from Outer Space" graphic depicts three-headed Elvis, bunch of guitar-rocking aliens, space ships and planets, while the "Guitar Creature" in the back depicts a Frankestein-esque scene where a dead Stratocaster is being revived with electric shocks. Now, let`s check out what`s beneath the crazy paint job. Laminated tonewoods make up the body of this eccentric dread - laminated maple is found on the back and sides, while the top is reserved for spruce. On the top, Fender installs the standard rosewood bridge with a compensated NuBone saddle and fixed construction. Under the hood, in the electronics department, Fishman`s Isys III system with an on-board preamp and tuner is found. Mahogany neck is attached to the body at the 14th fret and rocks the C profile. On its top, there is a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays (custom 12th fret inlay is also featured on the bound fingerboard). Black-colored headstock is adorned with a custom decal and a set of six (three-a-side) tuning machines.
