Gibson J-45 Progresive
Round Shoulder Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Gibson
Round Shoulder Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Gibson
J-45 is the most popular and the most sold acoustic guitar in Gibson history. It made its debut back in 1942 as part of the already popular J (Jumbo ) series, and has been in production ever since. Though a part of the J(umbo) series, J-45 is, technically speaking, a round (slope) shoulder dreadnought guitar.
Brand new J-45 Progressive is Gibson`s attempt to merge tradition and innovation in one. Mahogany (back, sides) and Sitka spruce (AA grade top) comprise the non-cutaway body. The classic "45" body is combined with one-piece mahogany neck (14th fret joint, slim taper profile) and modern richlite fingerboard.
Prominent hardware and electronics features include Gibson G-Force robotic tuners, richlite bridge with stainless steel tune-o-matic saddles and L.R. Baggs Lyric electronics system.
