For the sake of keeping price tags below $1,000 Martin had to start using laminated wood construction, affordable tone woods, minimalistic decoration style and basic specs lists. 00X1AE Java Mahogany Left Handed is a non-cutaway guitar with 00 body size and completely acoustic construction. Back and side panels are made of laminated mahogany, while the sound board is made of spruce. Bracing beneath the sound board is also made of spruce. Stratabond neck with oval contour is a standard throughout the series. Black richlite bridge and fingerboard are also standard appointments in the X series.
