Performing Artist Series are a line of acoustic-electric models dedicated to everyone from gigging musicians to players who want a high quality acoustic-electric guitar without having to sell their kidney. High quality materials and master craftsmanship give a solid support for magnificent tone these models are known for. Martin Guitars are updating their Performing artist series for 2012 with three brand new models. One of those models is DCPA 4 Rosewood. It is a dreadnought acoustic-electric model with a Venetian cutaway. It`s body is made of solid Indian rosewood back and sides and a solid spruce top. The top is bound in white boltaron and equipped with tortoise shell pickguard and double-ring sound hole rosette. Natural color with glossy finish is the only color option available for this model. The bridge is made of black richlite, which is a standard feature for the Performing Artist series. Also, it sports belly shape, white plastic string pins and white TUSQ saddle. In the electronics area DCPA 4 Rosewood features Fishman F1 Analog amplification system. It features a side-mounted control panel with volume and tone controls. The neck is made of select hardwood and it features Performing Artist profile, a special contour Martin Guitars developed for this series. Neck joint is Performing Artist series standard, mortise & tenon joint. Fingerboard matches the bridge and it is made of black richlite. It`s specs are: 20 frets, Style 28 Corian dot inlays and 1.75" wide corian string nut. Other features on DCPA 4 Rosewood include: Hybrid X bracing, 25-2/5" scale and a combination of satin and gloss finish.
