Martin Guitar`s Performing Artist Series caters to the needs of players who play on stage regularly, as well as players who just want to have a stage ready guitar for studio, garage or home. This series has been updated heavily for 2012 and one of the novelties unveiled at the NAMM Show was DCPA 4 Siris model. It is an acoustic-electric dreadnought cutaway guitar with a body made of siris wood back and sides and solid sitka spruce top. This dreadnought features grained ivoroid binding around the top. Also, the top is adorned with Delmar tortoise pickguard with tear drop shape and double ring rosette. The bridge is made of black richlite with white string pins and white corian saddle. The amplification on this DCPA is entrusted to Fishman F1 Analog electronics setup. Controls for this rig are side-mounted and feature volume and tone control knobs. The neck is made of select hardwood and sports performing artist contour with mortise & tenon joint at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of black richlite and is equipped with 20 frets, offset dot position inlays and 1-3/4" wide white corian nut. The MSRP for DCPA 4 Siris is set at $1,849.
