EM425/12 is an acoustic-electric variant of the M425/12 guitar made by Maton. This model comes with twelve-string construction and is one of several in current Maton production. Due to the extensive use of Australian timber, Maton`s guitars have acquired their own, characteristic voice. Body of this model comes in full-sized dreadnought contour with non-cutaway construction. It is made of Queensland walnut and Sitka spruce. Walnut makes up the back and side panels, while the spruce is on top as the sound board. Within the body cavity Maton installs electronics with AP5 pickup at the helm. Bridge section of EM425/12 is equipped with a regular belly-shaped bridge made of rosewood. Queensland maple neck is topped with a 21-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Chrome-plated Grover tuners are installed on the headstock.
