PD-85E is the only acoustic guitar in the 40th Anniversary Limited Edition series. It is based upon the regular PD-85E, but brings enhanced features. It kicks off with a non-cutaway dreadnought body made of solid rosewood back and sides and solid spruce top. The top is bound in a mixture of maple and rosewood binding. Also, there is a tortoise pickguard and triple-circle abalone rosette. In the bridge section, Peerless opted for an ebony bridge with ebony string pins. Electronics department on this model is made up of Fishman pickup/preamp system with an on-board control panel. Neck is made of mahogany and it is attached to the body at the 14th fret. Fingerboard on this PD is made of ebony and it comes with 20 frets, custom 12th fret inlay and 1.69" bone nut.
