Taka Mini is a line of down-sized acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars located in G segment of the catalog. The name of the series is a play on words Takamine and mini based on how the westerners usually read the word Takamine.
GX18CE is a small, single-cut NEX guitar with mahogany back and sides and solid spruce top (a really neat feature). This gives a warm, deep tone with spruce balancing out the naturally pronounced mids mahogany tends to have. Also, it adds snap and sharper response. Mahogany neck is attached at the 14th fret and has a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.
Takamine`s own TP-4T preamp guarantees high quality of GX18CE`s amplified performance. Rosewood bridge and six die-cast tuners complete this little-big NEX.
