G10 is the basic series of Takamine`s G section. Models found in this series cater to the beginners and inexperienced players. These are not made for stage, or recording studio, instead they`re best used as learning and practice tools. Thus the stripped down looks and very modest styling. GN10CE is one of two G10 models introduced for the summer of 2014. It is a single-cut guitar with NEX body, set in neck and full 25-1/2" scale. Body of this affordable six-stringer is made of laminated mahogany back and sides and laminated spruce sound board on the top. The only color option available for this model is Natural with satin finish and chrome-plated hardware. Multi-ply binding around the top and a triple-circle rosette are the only decorations found on the body. Electronics department of GN10CE is equipped with a side-mounted Takamine TP-E preamp with tuner and volume and tone controls. Mahogany neck is the standard one. It comes with a 14th fret dovetail joint and series standard contour in the back. On it`s top, the rosewood fingerboard is fit with 20 frets with dot inlays and 1-11/16" wide synthetic bone nut. Die-cast tuners complete the major specs list.
