P1M is the series` orchestra sized model and it comes in non-cutaway variant. Takamine is a brand with great level of versatility among it`s models and the brand new Pro Series 1 is a living proof with dreadnought, jumbo, NEX and orchestra contours all being represented by at least one model. P1M has scalloped X bracing, just like the rest of the models of the series, as well as a dovetail joint. It`s boady is made of standard sapele back and sides with cedar sound board on top. Multi-ply binding is applied around the top and is accompanied with an elegant rosette. Also, there`s a black plastic pickguard. Bridge section is standard for the entire series, as are many of other features. It sports a regular-shaped bridge made of rosewood. It has two-piece saddle made of bone and black string pins. In the electronics area Takamine installs a palathetic pickup in combination with CT4B II preamp. Shoulder-mounted preamp is equipped with a three-band equalizer. African mahogany neck has a regular back contour and rosewood fingerboard on top. 20 frets, white dot inlays and bone nut complete the fingerboard. Chrome-plated tuners are installed on the headstock.

recently bought the p1m pro takamine one of the most comfortable guitars i ve ever played the action is so sweet for an orchestral body its got a huge sound both amplified or unplugged the ct4b pre amp very user friendly cant leave it down being a fingerstyle player as well as strumming its got everything i need check it out
