TSF40C is a part of the upscale Legacy series. Legacy is spiritual successor of once famous and revered Nouveau & Santa Fe line and many of the models which survived the cancelled series are now members of the new Legacy range. TSF40 is a single-cut NEX guitar made of mahogany and cedar. Solid mahogany back, laminated sides and a one-piece cedar sound board. Black and white binding around the edges and a gorgeous abalone rosette decorate the barren top (no pickguard). Neck is made of mahogany and it features a dovetail joint in the back, as well as a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Concealed pickup is paired with Takamine`s proprietary CTP-3 Cool Tube preamp. Along with the standard 3-band EQ and tuner, preamp also features auxiliary input and volume in case a second pickup is added later.
