It is a tradition at Taylor Guitars to release a brand new Limited Edition lineup twice a year, once in spring and once in autumn. Models of these series are usually based upon already existing models and series from the standard catalog, but sometimes Taylor luthiers make completely new models. Cocobolo series from Fall 2011 Limited Edition contains such models. GS LTD is one of two models from this series and it features grand symphony body made of cocobolo back and sides and spruce sound board. Electronics installed on this model consist of Taylor`s own Expression system. Bridge on this model is a regular shaped ebony bridge. Neck is made of mahogany and it is topped with an ebony fingerboard. 20 frets, split diamond inlays, 15" radius and 1.75" wide bone nut complete the fingerboard.
