The famous FG180 made its debut half a century ago and was Yamaha`s first dreadnought-shaped steel-stringer. But, more than a mere recreation, the new FG180 is a brand new legend in the making. It masterfully fuses the 1960s specs with modern technology and production process. Main features include solid mahogany back & sides, solid Sitka spruce top (w/A.R.E. treatment, multi-ply binding, tortoise pickguard, vintage rosette), standard 25-9/16" scale, and completely electronics-free construction. Yamaha`s site displays only one color option - Natural (w/gloss body finish, matte neck finish, chrome-plated hardware). The MSRP is set at $1,300, which makes it the most expensive FG model. Other notable features include a nato neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
