Oracles in ancient Greece were the mediums through which ordinary people communicated with gods and received their advice or message. Also, Oracles were able to see and fore tell the future to common men and women. Thus the Luna`s Oracle series name, it looks deep into the future of guitar design and brings it here to us. 2012 sees six new models for the series, and four for grand concert section where the Koi is situated. Koi is an acoustic-electric, cutaway model made of mahogany back and sides and solid spruce top. The name of this model stems from its sound board inlay which stretches across the entire length of the bass side. The inlay depicts a legendary koi fish. The legend says that a koi fish must swim through the ocean of adversity and climb the dragon waterfall in order to become the dragon. Besides this inlay, the top features gloss finish, while the back and sides have satin finish. The bridge is made of ebony and comes in a familiar Oracle series shape. The electronics are made up of B-band pickup and preamp with side-mounted control panel. The neck is made of mahogany and connects with the body at the 14th fret. The ebony fingerboard matches the bridge and features 20 frets with moon phase inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut. 25-1/2" scale and chrome plated hardware wrap the list of specs for Oracle Koi.
