Jon Akkerman (best known as one of the founding members of the legendary Dutch rock band Focus) is one of two signature Avalon artists, though many famous guitarists and singer/songwriters have been known to utilize Avalon`s guitars. His signature model is based on the modern Arc series design and features a super-high price tag od $7,250 (basic price, no optional extras). Jan Akkerman model kicks off with a non-cutaway body made of east Indian rosewood (back, sides) and cedar (soundboard). Ebony binding and abalone rosette are featured as the only standard embellishments. Solid mahogany neck, attached at the 14th fret, has a 20-fret ebony fingerboard on its top. Other major features include Avalon`s own AXE bracing construction, gold-plated hardware (tuners) and solid ebony bridge.
