2-10 is one of four models in the current Pioneer series, made by Avalon Guitars. 2-10 designation signifies this model comes with a spruce top (all Avalon models designated with "1-XX" have cedar tops. Pioneer 2-10 is, despite being a member of Avalon`s most popular and most affordable series, still a very expensive guitar - its basic price is set at $4,590. It is a non-cutaway guitar with completely acoustic construction (no electronics) and mahogany back & sides. The neck is also made of mahogany (14th fret dovetail joint, 44mm width at the nut) and it features an ebony fingerboard on top (side dot inlays). The bridge and body binding are made of rosewood. Gold-plated tuning machines and Avalon`s AXE bracing complete the specs list.
