Discovery series is Breedlove`s most affordable one. It is focused on beginners and players who want a good backup/practice guitar. Also, Discovery models are fantastic campfire companions. The current lineup consists of concert and dreadnought models, both acoustic and acoustic-electric. All models are made in China and controlled in Bend, Oregon. They`re also designed in Oregon. Discovery Dreadnought CE is an amplified steel-stringer with a single-cut body, 25-1/2" scale, Fishman electronics (pickup/preamp combo), and a versatile tone. Main construction features include okume back & sides, solid sapele soundboard, 14th fret dovetail neck joint, and stock hardware. Breedlove sells this one in Natural Gloss finish only. Other notable features include a solid okume neck, 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard, ovangkol bridge, and closed-gear tuners.
