Discovery series is focused on the beginner level acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. It is Breedlove`s most affordable series and its models are made in China (together with Pursuit, Solo, and Stage series` models). Also, they`re designed and controlled in Bend, Oregon. Discovery Dreadnought Maple is one of the cheapest models made under Breedlove banner and is one of the best options for beginner players. It comes with a non-cutaway dreadnought body, 25-1/2" scale, electronics-free construction, and versatile tone. Main construction features include laminated maple back & sides, a solid Sitka spruce soundboard, standard 14th fret dovetail neck joint, and stock hardware. Breedlove sells this one in Natural Gloss finish only. Other notable features include a solid nato neck, 20-fret fingerboard made of ovangkol, ovangkol bridge, and closed-gear tuners.
